Hair Concerns
Hair thinning and shedding need a medical-grade approach. Dr Garara uses PRP, exosomes and polynucleotide-based protocols to support follicle health and slow hair loss, alongside lifestyle and nutritional guidance.
Hair concerns we treat
Hair Shedding
Hair shedding — clinically telogen effluvium when sudden and diffuse — is a different pattern from gradual hair thinning. It usually begins 2–3 months after a triggering event (illness, surgery, severe stress, childbirth, significant weight change) and shows as clumps of hair coming out evenly across the scalp rather than thinning in a specific pattern. Most cases recover spontaneously once the trigger has resolved. Treatment is supportive: identify and address the trigger, ensure nutritional and medical investigations where appropriate, and provide scalp support to encourage recovery.

Hair thinning — clinically called androgenetic alopecia when driven by genetic and hormonal factors — is a gradual, progressive condition. Effective management is generally most successful with early intervention and a combination of approaches: medical-grade prescription treatments where appropriate, regenerative therapies including PRP and platelet-derived exosomes, autologous regenerative options (Seffihair) for selected patients, and supportive scalp treatments. Where the underlying follicles have been lost entirely, a hair transplant by a specialist may be the right pathway.
